AJ’s grandparents operated a large fruit, berry, and root vegetable farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. They had a red fruit stand with white trim on the edge of County Route 10.
Her weekends and summers were spent on the farm with many, many hours in the fruit stand. Some of her greatest memories of childhood revolved around that fruit stand—sharing time with her grandparents and family, eating fresh fruit all day, and sharing the lives of local people. It was a meeting place, a cool shaded spot out of the hot summer sun—and most of all—a building filled with lots of love and hard work.
Our hope is that The Farm Stand will also be a cool spot out of the hot sun, a happy place filled with flowers and a place for good times.
We can’t wait for you to stop by!
